Testing Starter MotorUpdated a year ago

Below are steps on how to Test the starter motor:

Note: You will need a Screw Driver for this Test

Step 1.) Follow the positive terminal wire from the battery to the starter, which is located just above the orange dipstick of the motor. (See Image below for Reference)


Step 2.) Pull off the rubber sleeves to expose the bolts from the starter motor. 
(See Image below for Reference)


Step 3.) Take the screwdriver and connect these two screws together with the screwdriver.

  • If they spin, then the starter switch (Push Button Start) may be faulty.
  • If the motor does NOT spin, then the starter motor may need to be replaced
