Generator Startup Procedures
Follow the instructions below to properly start your generator using Gasoline, Propane, or Natural Gas.
⚠ Important:
Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area and ensure the generator is placed on level ground before starting.
Gasoline Startup Procedure
Step 1: Turn the Breaker OFF
Locate the main breaker on the right side of the front power panel.
Flip the breaker down (OFF) to prevent electrical load during startup.
Step 2: Set Fuel Selector to Gasoline
Locate the fuel selector switch on the left front panel.
Rotate the switch to the GAS position to allow gasoline to flow to the engine.
Step 3: Turn the Battery Switch ON
Locate the battery switch at the top center of the main power panel.
Turn the switch ON to supply power to the push-button starter.
Step 4: Turn Idle Control OFF
Locate the idle control switch on the top center of the power panel.
Set the switch to OFF so the engine can warm up properly.
Step 5: Start the Generator
Press the push-button start on the left side of the power panel for 1 second, then release.
If the battery is unavailable, use the recoil pull starter as a backup starting method.
Step 6: Turn Breaker ON and Connect Devices
After the generator starts and is running smoothly:
Flip the breaker up (ON).
Connect devices to the generator outlets.
💡 Tip:
Connect larger electrical loads first, then smaller devices.
Propane Startup Procedure
Step 1: Turn the Breaker OFF
Flip the main breaker down (OFF) on the right side of the front power panel.
Step 2: Set Fuel Selector to Propane
Rotate the fuel selector switch on the left front panel to the PROPANE position.
Step 3: Connect Propane Hose to Generator
Locate the propane inlet on the left front panel, next to the fuel selector.
Securely attach the propane hose to the inlet.
Step 4: Connect Hose to Propane Tank
Attach the ACME nut connection to the propane tank and tighten securely.
Open the propane tank valve.
Step 5: Turn Battery Switch ON
Turn the battery switch ON on the top center of the power panel.
Step 6: Turn Idle Control OFF
Set the idle control switch to OFF so the engine can warm up properly.
Step 7: Start the Generator
Press the push-button start for 1 second, then release.
If necessary, use the recoil starter as a backup.
Step 8: Turn Breaker ON and Connect Devices
Once the generator is running:
Flip the breaker up (ON).
Connect your devices to the outlets.

Start with larger appliances first, then smaller loads.
Natural Gas Startup Procedure
Step 1: Turn the Breaker OFF
Flip the breaker down (OFF) on the right side of the front power panel.
Step 2: Set Fuel Selector to Natural Gas
Rotate the fuel selector switch on the left front panel to the NATURAL GAS position.
Step 3: Connect Natural Gas Hose to Generator
Locate the quick-connect inlet on the left front panel.
Securely connect the natural gas hose to the inlet.
Step 4: Connect Hose to Natural Gas Supply
Attach the hose to your home natural gas quick-connect outlet and open the gas supply valve.
Step 5: Turn Battery Switch ON
Turn the battery switch ON on the top center of the power panel.
Step 6: Turn Idle Control OFF
Set the idle control switch to OFF while the engine warms up.
Step 7: Start the Generator
Press the push-button start for 1 second, then release.
Use the recoil pull starter if needed.
Step 8: Turn Breaker ON and Connect Devices
After the generator starts:
Flip the breaker up (ON).
Connect your devices to the generator outlets.
